Isolator Selection Tool
Isolator Selection Tool
The Isolator Selection Tool is intended to assist with isolator sizing based on equipment operating loads. There are 2 cases where the isolator selection is typically used.
Starting with Estimated Products
First, in some cases, you may be using Estimated products to quickly estimate projects prior to making detailed product selections. While you may not know the exact isolator models required early in the quoting process, you may know the general requirements with respect to product families or types. Estimated products allow you to move forward with budgetary quotations, without making detailed product selections.

If your quote contains at least 1 Estimated Product, note that the Checkout button is disabled. Products before an order can be placed.
To convert an estimated product to an actual product, access the isolator selection tool from the flag icon, or from the menu by clicking the ellipsis.

Starting with an estimated product, the isolator selection tool is bootstrapped with the estimated quantity, model, and deflection, so that the only required information is typically equipment operating weight. Inputting the operating weight will display proposed solutions, which you can select, and add to your cart. This replaces the Estimated products with Actual products and quantities of the proposed solution.

Starting from “Scratch”
In some cases, you may not be starting with Estimated products. Launching the isolator selection tool in this case allows you to navigate through the selection process from scratch.
First, input the Tag and Quantity of solutions, followed by the equipment operating weight and isolator quantity. The “Same Capacity Isolator” quantity toggles allows you to specify whether you want all isolators to be identical, or whether you want to assume the center will see 2 times the load. If you have any questions about the loading, you should reach out to our customer service group for assistance.
In the Product Configuration section, selecting the isolator “By Model” allows you to input a distinct product and deflection, if you know the specific model that is required.

The “By Configuration” option allows you to drill down by product attributes. Each filter will narrow down the list of solutions by Mounting Condition, Style of isolator, products used in seismic/wind applications and deflection. Additional options are presented for certain products, as needed, to narrow down solutions based on specified requirements.

Additional Features
Additional features allow you to adjust the isolator selections from the default solution.
If you know that you’d prefer explicit models at any point supports, you can manually override each isolator.
The Add/Deduct field allows you to modify assumptions of the weight distribution. This will automatically re-select the isolator type, based on the new load.

Notes can be added to the selection for context. These notes, along with specific isolator selections at each point support, will display on submittal documents.
