Estimated Products
ESTIMATED PRODUCTS
Estimated products exist in V-A Express to quickly estimate projects prior to making detailed product selections.
While you may not know the exact isolator models required early in the quoting process, you may know the general requirements with respect to product families or product types. This allows you to move forward with budgetary or formal quotations, without making detailed product selections based on equipment weights, dimensions, etc. by using Estimated products.

Estimated products are different than actual models in a several ways. To highlight Estimated products in the user interface of the Quote view, a blue “flag” icon is displayed in the “i”, or information, column toward the left of each record.

If your quote contains at least 1 Estimated Product, note that the Checkout button is disabled. You must convert all Estimated products to Actual products before an order can be placed.
When 1 or more estimated products exist on a quote, the checkout button will be disabled.
To resolve Estimated Products:

Re-open the Model drop list. Products displayed in the list are limited to only those isolators in the same product family for simplicity.

Select the Actual model required for the project. As equipment weights, dimensions, etc. become known, it is possible to formalize a product selection. Select the Actual model in the list, and the selection will be saved to the quote.

Updated Pricing. Estimated products carry pricing information to facilitate a budgetary or formal quotation, which is generally an average or median price for the product family of the Estimated product. Note that modifying the product selection may result in a price that is slightly lower, or slightly higher, than the Estimated product.
Pricing is updated for Actual products at the time they are converted from Estimated products.

Checkout. Once the Estimated model has been converted to an Actual model, the blue “flag” icon is removed and the checkout button is enabled.
Checkout button is enabled once all Estimated products are resolved, allowing you to checkout.
