TAGS
As you’re building out quotes, equipment Tags are an important concept in organizing quotes, and associating models to the equipment on your project. This is an optional field; so, if you’re placing stock orders, or building quotes where the tag is not necessary, you can ignore this field.

Tags can be defined in 2 different ways.
Add New Tag
The “Add New Tag” functionality allows you to specify distinct Tags and equipment types, independent of product selections. This allows you to rough-in project requirements for organization before specifying product models.
To add a Tag using the “Add New Tag” functionality:

Add New Tag. Click the “Add New Tag” button. This will open a modal for input of Tag Name and Equipment Type.

Tag Name. Input the project’s equipment Tag (P-1, WSHP-2, CT-3, etc.).

Equipment Type. Select an Equipment Type that describes the project Tag. A list of commonly used equipment types can be selected from the list.

Equipment Type can be selected from a list of default types.
If one of the default Equipment Types does not adequately describe the project’s equipment, a custom Equipment Type can be provided.

Add a custom Equipment Type by typing it in the Equipment Type field and clicking the “+…” text.
As you add Tags to the project, the Quote View will reflect these Tags and Products in a parent/child relationship, simplifying the quote view. The subtotal of isolation products for each tag is displayed, which can be expanded to display individual products and prices.

If you have multiple equipment types with similar requirements, you can also increment the Quantity for the tag itself, and the total number of product will be displayed in parenthesis.

Add Tags (In-Line)
Tags can also be added “on the fly” as you’re adding individual products. Just input the tag in the “Add a Tag” field, and proceed with adding the model normally.

As you type in the Tag, all previously added Tags are displayed for selection; or, a new Tag can be added to the list.
